Supporting our hood

Uplifting your hood

Every entry ticket in the hunt contributes to a local cause that will create a better community. We believe that the upliftment of the community in which we work is important to our mission. The people and organisations working to create a better world in the spaces we work have a vital role to play in our vision of a community that comes to life together. We will donate a portion of each entry to a local charity.

Little Brinks

Little Brinks started when Danny and Kath were asked to come to Elsies River and have their foster daughter meet her biological mother for the first time. While waiting for the social they saw grannies, babies and children waiting for social workers to give them food and clothing parcels as they had taken in more kids through the week and didn’t have anything for them.

Home of hope

Home of Hope is a registered Non-Profit Organisation that provides services to children and young adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). We achieve this by taking full time care of children with FASD and other special needs in our Child and Youth Care Centre, providing specialised education at Amathemba Special Needs School for children with FASD and similar disabilities who are not able to go to mainstream school and helping them to become productive and responsible members of the community, continuing support into adulthood through our mentor and skills development programme called the Living Life project.
